Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Hisab Dekho("the App"), provided by Avinash Gupta("we", "us"), handles information. Hisab Dekho is an offline digital ledger (khata) app for recording credit and payments with your customers.

1. Summary

• All your data is stored only on your own device.
• The App has no account, no login, and no cloud server.
• The App does not request the Internet permission and does not send your data to us or to any third party.
• We do not use advertising, analytics, or tracking tools.
• We do not sell or share your data, because we never receive it.

2. Information stored on your device

When you use the App, the following information is saved locally on your phone so that the App can work:

• Business profile: business name, owner name, phone number, address, logo, and UPI ID that you enter.
• Customer details: names, phone numbers, addresses and notes of the customers or suppliers you add.
• Ledger entries: amounts, dates, notes and optional bill photos you record.
• App settings: language, theme, message templates, and app-lock preferences.

This information never leaves your device unless you choose to share or back it up (see sections 4 and 5).

4. Sharing messages, QR codes and PDF bills

The App lets you send payment reminders, UPI QR codes and PDF bills to your customers by SMS or WhatsApp. This works by opening the SMS or WhatsApp app already installed on your phone with the message pre-filled. You review the message and press send yourself.

• The App does not send SMS messages on its own.
• Once a message or file is handed to SMS, WhatsApp or another app, it is handled under that app's own privacy policy, not ours.
• PDF bills and QR images are created on your device. They are shared only when you choose to share them.

5. Backup and restore

The App lets you export a backup file of your data to a location you choose (for example Downloads, an SD card, or a cloud drive of your own). We do not have access to these backups.

Important: because your data is stored only on your device, if you uninstall the App, clear its data, or lose your phone without a backup, your data cannot be recovered by us. Please back up regularly.

6. Data security

Your data is kept in the App's private storage on your device. You can protect it further with a PIN or biometric lock inside the App. Keep your phone secure and use your phone's own screen lock, because anyone with access to an unlocked phone may see your data.

7. Data retention and deletion

You are in full control. You can delete individual customers or entries inside the App, use "Delete all data" in Settings, or uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data. Because we do not hold your data on any server, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

8. Third-party services

The App does not integrate any third-party advertising, analytics or crash-reporting service. UPI payments themselves are made through your customer's own UPI app and bank; Hisab Dekho does not process, store or have access to any payment.

9. Children's privacy

Hisab Dekho is intended for shopkeepers and business owners and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.

10. Your responsibility for customer data

You may store information about your customers in the App. You are responsible for using that information lawfully, for example by contacting customers only about their accounts with you and by following any privacy laws that apply to your business.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page with the "Last updated" date shown at the top. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
